The sun shone warmly at Redruth Recreation Ground on Saturday 17th September when Redruth RFC met Hornets RFC and Redruth Charity Trust (RCT) hosted its annual Sponsors Reward Day; an afternoon of superb sport enjoyed in great company to celebrate the valuable support lent by local businesses.
The RCT Trustees welcomed 83 representatives from their Gold, Silver, Bronze and Tin sponsorship schemes, enjoying a pasty and a pint while cheering on the Reds to victory, finishing 41-31 over Hornets. RCT named Fly Half Fraser Honey the player-of-the-match, whose kicking both from hand and tee was first class and secured the victory.
RCT Chair of Trustees, Chris Hailey, said:
What a to-and-fro and ultimately victorious match we were honoured to enjoy in the company of guests, from the businesses and organisations that sponsor and support the Trust.
None of our good work can happen in isolation. It takes teamwork, understanding and a common goal of making a difference in Redruth. It’s important that all the contributors to our charity feel valued and know how important their support is to us, and to their community as a whole. Our thanks go to Redruth RFC for hosting us and all our partners that came along.
