Sponsors Reward Day 2021

After a hiatus last season, due to the pandemic, Redruth Charity Trust (RCT) Sponsors Reward Day took place at Redruth RFC on Saturday 9th October; an afternoon enjoying superb sport in great company to celebrate the support lent by local businesses.

The RCT Trustees welcomed representatives from their Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsorship schemes, enjoying a pasty and a pint while cheering on the Reds to victory, finishing 49-12 over Clifton. RCT nominated the man-of-the-match as Connor Gilbert, although it must be said that the whole team, on and off the pitch, performed exceptionally.

RCT Chair of Trustees, Chris Hailey, said:

We were thrilled to welcome 84 guests, from the businesses that sponsor the Trust as well as organisations we work with, while watching an absolute cracker of a performance by the Reds in the sunshine.

It’s really important to our charity to thank the family that helps us make a difference. Without them, the impact would not be nearly as far reaching. Our thanks go to Redruth RFC and St Austell Brewery and all those that came along to acknowledge this unique collaboration.

To be able to catch up with our supporters in person again felt like another positive step forward on the road to post-pandemic recovery; a thrilling day for our town in many ways.
