After a hiatus in 2020, the RCT Chair’s BBQ returned on 7th August 2021, with huge support from local businesses, to achieve a total of £2065 of funds for the charity.

Chair of Trustees, Chris Hailey, said:
“It was great to hold the BBQ again this summer. Despite putting the date back a month and very iffy weather forecasts we ultimately had a great event and raised £565 more than we did in 2019, which is incredible, and the funds will make a big difference to the Trust’s activities in the next 12 months.
“Without the wonderful donors, there wouldn’t have been such a superb spread of food and enticing auction, so I would like to thank all those who gave food and prizes, our auctioneer Alan Jewell, and his bandmates from The 4/5ths for entertaining us. Paul, Andrea and team did a superb job on the grills, feeding 70 attendees, Alan Hailey ran the bar, and not forgetting my Trustees that helped with all the other aspects on the night. Finally, I must pay tribute to my partner Julie who embraces the event every year, opening our home and garden to Trust supporters.”
