Chris Hailey, Chairman of Redruth Charity Trust, and his partner Julie Mitchell opened their garden on the evening of 16th July to host a fundraising party including a raffle and auction. With huge support from local businesses, a total of £2200 was raised for the charity.
Chris Hailey, said:
“It was great to open our garden to Trust friends and supporters again in 2022. We had a beautifully sunny evening, sharing good food and drinks overlooking Carn Brea and most importantly, raising funds that will make a big difference to the Trust’s activities in the next 12 months.
“I am grateful to the local organisations that donated food and auction prizes, compered by our auctioneer Alan Jewell. I also wish to thank Alan and his bandmates from The 4/5ths for entertaining us, and to my brother Alan Hailey for presenting a superb spread of food, and of course, I must convey my huge thanks to my partner Julie who worked incredibly hard to host the event in our home and garden. We are thrilled to know that the total raised has surpassed last year, at £2200.”
