30th Anniversary Gala Dinner

On Friday 29th September 2023, the RCT trustees gathered at the Penventon Park Hotel with guests from the charity’s beneficiary clubs, sponsor businesses and individual supporters to celebrate 30 years as a registered charity. 118 were booked in to our first ever charity dinner.

Our 30th Anniversary Gala Dinner was a wonderful evening of good food, good company and feel-good fundraising via a raffle and auction. £5 from every ticket went to Redruth Charity Trust, along with all the funds from the raffle and auction, and we’re pleased to say that the evening raised at total of £2045, to be re-invested in ‘making a difference in Redruth’!

Thank you to the generous raffle and auction donors, offering almost 50 items: Penventon Park Hotel, Graham Young, Tony Minnion, Tony Cowling, Redruth RFC, Cornish Granite Sports, Carn Brea Castle Restaurant, Keltek Brewery, Sarah Sullivan Ceramics, Tehidy Park Golf Club , Borne Fit, Zen Nail & Beauty, Co-Op Truro, Luscombe Construction, David Reynolds Building Preservation, Tesco Extra Pool, In the Mix Bakery, Trickies, The Foot Health Practice, Whistlefish, St Eval Candles, Scentsy, MY Motors, Schoose.

We were honoured to have our own town Mayor, Stephen Barnes, present on the evening, who kindly volunteered to take some photos.

Huge thanks also to vocalist Charlie Blundell, who entertained us with her singing, and to Cornwall Funeral Services for the excellent AV production.

The evening was compered by trustee Alan Jewell, who also presented Chair of Trustees, Chris Hailey, with an engraved glass tankard to mark 30 years of service, which should have been marked in 2020 during the pandemic, but was postponed until a suitable special occasion.

From all the trustees, thank you to all guests that came to celebrate this milestone with us, and for supporting our work.
