2018 Community Awards

The 2018 Redruth Charity Trust Community Awards ceremony took place on Wednesday 10th October at St Rumons Social Club.

This, the 25th annual event, takes the total donated to the town’s community groups to over £100,000.

50 groups from the Redruth area were entertained by Lanner Brass Academy and the presentations were compered by Trustee Alan Jewell.

Trust Chairman, Chris Hailey, welcomed over 100 representatives from Redruth’s community groups and presented their grant cheques.  Chris said:

“Redruth Charity Trust tonight celebrates two milestones; 25 years of the Community Awards and that, this year, the total of the grants we’ve issued within these years surpasses one hundred thousand pounds. ‘Making a difference in Redruth’ is the motto the Trust adopted and remains our absolute commitment.

“Gathered together at this ceremony, we welcome community group representatives that are regular award recipients, who have become friends over the years, as well as some new groups.  We thank you for all you do for the town and are delighted that these grants from the Trust will enable you to continue to serve Redruth’s residents in your various themes and channels.”
